第九届阿肯色州食品保护协会（AAFP）会议于9月19日至21日在Springdale举行。项目组4名成员参加了AAFP 2017年会。王蓉晖博士作了题为“An electrochemical aptasensor for rapid detection of Salmonella Typhimurium in poultry based on the bifunctional magnetic nanocomposites”的墙报介绍。3位研究生Xiaofan Yu（博士研究生），Xinge Xi（博士研究生）和America Sotero（硕士研究生）参加了学生墙报比赛。他们的墙报比赛的题目分别是“Selection of DNA aptamers using whole-bacterium SELEX for rapid detection of E.coli O157:H7 with a QCM sensor”，“A fluorescent biosensor using quantum dots, magnetic nanoparticles and microfluidics for in-field detection of foodborne bacteria”和“Rapid Detection of Salmonella Typhimurium in poultry using a portable immunosensing system”，其中America Sotero在墙报比赛的第4类中获得了第一名。
